A unique cinematic event celebrating LGBT film during Pride

OutCinema, in Partnership with NewFest and SVA Theatre, is an annual celebration of LGBTQ pride and community on film. Now it its third year after sold out screenings of STRIKE A POSE and CHERRY POP, OutCinema has expanded to three days of cinema, conversation, and celebration!

Kick off Pride week with Opening Night on June 18th, which includes an open bar after-party. And experience the diverse collection of stories from our community through a varied slate of films and special guests on June 19th and 20th.

FROM SELMA TO STONEWALL: ARE WE THERE YET?

Special Panel Conversation & Screening

Followed by an extended discussion.

 

Join us for a special panel conversation and screening of this galvanizing documentary that sees a black preacher and a white lesbian activist forming a bond as they search for the intersection between the civil rights and the LGBTQ equality movements of today.

Each night will start with a short film specially curated by the publication THEM.  This series of shorts, entitled Queeroes, will include talkbacks with the filmmakers each night.
